How Does Financial Planning Help You and Your Family?

Most people reach out when something has changed. An inheritance arrives, a marriage ends, a spouse passes away, or you realize a family member with special needs may require care long after you can provide it. Other times there is no single event. Accounts have multiplied over the years, and nobody has ever walked you through how they work together. Plenty of clients come to us on their own, too: professionals building wealth on a single income, people starting over after a divorce, and retirees handling an estate alone after losing a spouse.

We build personal financial plans that cover investments, tax planning, education savings, life and long-term care insurance, and estate strategies through our legal network. Every recommendation comes with the reasoning behind it, because we’d rather teach you than sell to you.

Some situations call for a specialist: Anthony Pitti is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) who works with clients untangling finances in a divorce, and the same coordinated approach applies when a windfall, a real estate sale, or a stack of accumulated accounts raises questions no single professional answers alone.

Why Individuals and Families Choose a Family Firm

We’re a family firm working for individuals and families alike. Sal and his son Matt founded the firm, Anthony joined them later, and you deal directly with the people whose name is on the firm, not a call queue. You can ask the question you were embarrassed to ask your last advisor, and you can expect a straight answer from a fee-only fiduciary.

Some of these relationships have lasted long enough to feel like extended family, and that is the kind of work we want.

Family Financial Planning Questions

A personal financial plan typically covers investments, tax planning, education savings, life and long-term care insurance, and estate strategies, all organized around your goals, whether you’re planning for yourself or a full household. We build yours as one plan and update it as your life changes.

Organize before you decide. Understand what you received, the tax questions attached to it, and any deadlines involved before making big moves. A complimentary conversation can help you separate the urgent from the optional.

You start with a complimentary conversation about what’s on your mind. Many of our clients came to us with no advisor at all, or with one who wasn’t providing real guidance, and the first step was the same: get organized and get educated.

No. Investment management is one piece of a larger plan that can include tax planning, insurance reviews, education savings, and estate strategies through our legal network. We also coordinate with your CPA and attorney when a decision touches their territory.

The Pitti Group is paid directly by our clients, not by investment companies or mutual fund providers. As an independent fiduciary, we charge an advisory fee based on the assets we manage or, in some cases, a flat planning fee. Because our compensation doesn’t depend on selling products or earning commissions, our advice is designed to be objective and in our clients’ best interests.
